Garden in my Back Yard

Oh ! when did this land become like jungle ? Well, three of us (me, Magda and Riana) have been quite busy lately, no time to take care our back garden, just only for few days the grass grow so fast. This is Magda's baby, she spent quite a lot of her time/effort in this garden, Thank you, Madga ...... so me and Riana can enjoy our nice garden. I am only the second hand in this garden, to help watering the plants, cut the lawn....not planting or ....(cos I do not have green fingures) God ! I need to cut the lawn, it looks like jungle now... I really can't find my way... (I mean ants...)

Just a bit of effort, I can see the garden and find the way properly now................Before and after cut the lawn, make such different.

Look ! I am so exciting to see strawberry grow in our garden.... May be in the future we can just pick the fresh strawberry in our back yard, ya !!!!!

This is a pot of Japanese tree, it looked so healthy and colorful when we just bought it from B&Q. Poor plant/tree now look so sick and dehydrated, this was due to laziness of it's owners forget to water/feed it, plus the weather for last few days were quite warm. NO.....I must water the plants today. I told Magda to select some rough plants so they can grow without a lot of care, although this japanese is a rough plant, this poor plant really need a bit of TLC (tender loving care) now, obvious signed of neglect by its owners, shame, shame.......

After cut the lawn, I managed to water the plants surround the lawns. Quite enjoying because I some how wet myself as well...................

With this nice garden, I uses to spend a lot of time in this place on my day off work in the summer time, such as having my breakfast, reading book or listening my music........like a paradise when the surrounding are so quiet, only you and the birds singing.

Nasty People

Really.......really hate nasty people......................!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nak jadi orang baik pun susahlah hari ini, kerana nasty people will always make you so upset, and question myself why we have to be good to nasty people ?????

Today I received a phone call from other hospital, asking for XXXX whether we have XXXX in our hospital. Well, I am not only got a look, but also got A brain, so looked throught the computer system. Aha! XXXX was in such such ward. To be helpful....I passed the information to the nurse.

About 5 minutes later, "ring, ring...." again, so I picked up the phone. Wow, orang perumpuan itu looked for XXXX for nearly two days and nobody can tell her where her mum was, perumpuan itu sound very impatient and keep rise her voice. As a baik hati jururawat, I asked her to calm down and will give her the other ward number. Oh my, my.....she shouted at me and said why I passed information to the nurse in other hospital and not her, she knew where was her mum now, and demanded me to tell her my name. For surelah, saya tak nak bagi because there was no reason to give my name when people are so nasty. Therefore, she kept shouting aggresively and nastily, you know what ....I really could not bear the noise, so I have to put the phone away from my ear. She kept on and on, at the end I really lose control and my mind, plus no more brain, I put down her phone. Oh my god, I might lose my job as well, because as a jururawat, especial senior one, this was very unprofessional act. Started takutlah...

She phoned back again, nobody wanted to give her my name.... Though thing will cold down when she see her mum. No way, instead went to see her mum, she came to my work place. Alamak !!! She really made a big issue, perumpuam orang hitan itu really nasty, demanded me to see her and wanted to issue a formal complaint about me "because I put the phone down ". My colleauges asked me to stay away and some suggested to call the security. At the end one of my male senior colleague sort her out. The result was there will be no formal complaint about the hospital or me from her side. BUT..............there will be an internal investigation about "I put the phone down and not deal with the situation professionally". Therefore I wrote the incident statement tonight and email to me boss. Pray to the Lord, hope............................

Think back am I did something wrong ??????????? Just be a good person, try to help other to sort their problem, you see..........end up got complaint.........Jadi orang baik tak easylah. I am also a human being, why nurse got no right, why when nurse get abuse verbally or physically, the system would not stand up for us, we are so kasiahlah. Or some become more nasty than other.

I still prefer to nurse my patient by following my heart.............................(good heart and not a nasty heart, OK!!)

Good Bye, Josephine

After 16 years service in this NHS trust's ICU, today is Josephine's official last day at work, Cheers !!!!!!!!Josephine, your retirement day..........65 year old now, I just can not believe it, Josephine still have such energy to work till this age. Just Imagine myself at that age, I might long gone by then, ICU this work environment can drain your physical and mental out easily, I do not think I still have any stanmina left to work in ICU after age of 60. Oh, my god ! I still have to work for 25 years to claim my pension...............................

Josephine looks so young at her age, people will believe her if she said she only 55 years old. Josephine's daughter paid her to have a special hair do in salon for her retirement day. From now onwards, she is a lady in leisure, Josephine plans to go back home for holiday first and then see what she likes to do afterward for her spare time, may be do some extra time in ICU.

For sure in this ICU's culture, we always have party for various reasons such as going on maternity leave, weekend, leaving do....... Josephine's last day we would not miss out. Starting collect money from everyone after nursing handover, including some from the operating threatre's staff, how generous our next door neighbour, they pay we eat.....! Wow....we have collected £90 for the lunch party. Ines was pointed to do the shopping, and M&S is our usual place to buy our food stuff.

The whole table full of M&S foods, and the amount of the foods can carried on till dinner break and may be some left over for night duty staff.

Old friend from home visiting London 2008

After the day Yeat Har left and flew back to Malaysia, I received an email from a very ...old freind/ex-colleague, Hudal, wrote that he was in London, Baker street, doing a month intensive managament course. What a surprise to me, Hudal and I have not contact for long time and I have not see him for nearly 12 to 13 years. Think back the good old time in Technip, I really enjoyed my work place because I got on well with my Malay colleagues. Hudal is still look the same, apart from ...............

I really glad to meet Hudal and his other colleague, Sazali. We went to Oxford street so the two of them can buy presents for their family members. For sure we also visited to Stay house, Mara House or Malaysian Hall for our Malaysian foods while going out with them.

Apart from shopping, I brought them to SOHO at night as I never been there before at that hour. Wow... I saw from the wide window that one very fit naked top male dancer, dancing on the stage in the gay bar, and also some difference/unique shop displayed of course around that area. We just walked around that area for few minutes, that it !!!

Have been in London for nearly 13 years, so I knew some place where to get reasonable price clothing. Hudal and I went to Camden Town, and I did bargain with the store owner for the leather jacket, we got good price for the jacket as long the leather is real, I really do not have any idea whether the leather is real or not , as long as there have no 3 dots, you know what I mean my Malay friends.

If you come to London, you must see at least one Theatre show. I was able to get very cheap theatre tickets from my friends, so I booked three tickets without got a consent from Hudal and Sazali. We went to watch "Dickens Unplunged" comedy musical show. It was a good show, and I was glad Hudal and Sazali enjoyed it.

Go to Paris with Yeat Har 2008

We took Eurostar in St Pancreas to Paris, the whole trip took less than 2.30hours journey. It was a relaxing and nice Eurostar trip. The metro system in Paris is so convinenance and the fee is quite cheap compare to London underground. One disappointed thing that the metro station is so smelly, urine smell everywhere in the station, worse than London street.

Otherwise the hotel we stayed was quite clean. The hotel staff were friendly, helpful and spoke well English. My flatemates said France people would only speak English if you are not English, ha............. Of course we also walked around the Paris until Yeat Har complaint of time to rest, no more walking.

It was fun to go holiday with close friend, we chatted all the time and laughed for some silly thing we saw, unbelieveble funny.

The weather been so good to us, we had lovely days most of the time, only occassion windy at time. Yeat Har lost her digital camera in one the museum, luckily we did not walk too far for her to discover her camera was missing. We walked back the way before and search, thank god she found her camera. if not hm.............................

Yeat Har come to London 2008

Tower Bridge

At last Yeat Har came to London. Way back 14 years ago while Yeat Har still in U.S.A, I flew to Montana to visit her, that was my first time to America, I really enjoyed my trip in Boston and Montana, good memory in my mind as I did not take a lot of photos that time. I hope Yeat Har also have great memory and experiences in U.K.

Talfagar square

In London we have to walk a lot from one attraction to another attraction place, and at the end of second days, Yeat Har was really tired after walked around the city for two solid long days.

Piccadilly Circus

During her two weeks visiting in London, I didn't manage to get annual leaves, therefore I had to work and we did sightseeing while I was day off, so some of our visit out of London i.e York and Paris were quite short. We slept in the Coach on our way and back from York, it saved my time and our money to overnight in B&B, what an experience............feel like we were back aged 18 years old again.

Yeat Har and Beefeater in front of Tower of London

Yeat Har and I were secondary classmates, and we are friend for more than 20 years. I was really glad she came to London for holiday and to stay with me for that time.
