Flora 5km run 2007

I have never missed annual Flora 5km run in Hype Park Corner for nearly 6 to 7 conservative years, well done myself. Of course I raised money and awareness for spinal injuries research project (Aspire) as I had worked in National Orthopaedic Hospital for 7 years, kind of home hospital, still have keep in touch with few old collaegues.

Remember the year before (2006) I just finished my night duty and went for the run, and then went back to sleep for few hours, later that night back to work again. See how energetic I was, tell you what, I was so tired for the rest of night, lucky my patient was still alive and sounded stable in the morning.

If you have a chance, get involve/contribute in local charity work to help others, make you feel good of youself, I think so.......................trust me!!!!!!!!!!!!

Secondary School's old classmates

Well done girls !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! may be should said ladies, you all are doing very well, I felt so proud of you all, STILL LOOK YOUNG AND GOT LOVELY SHINE ON YOUR FACES.

Old tale say when women reach 40's, they look old, out of shape, and not attractive any more. Ha! Ha! The picture proved the old tale was a passed time saying now, not suitable for modern society, working women and mums.

I can believe it because I am one of them, Ha ! Ha! I still can cheat people that I am still 34 or 35, they do believe me !!!!!!!!!!!!! Sad, not late 20's anymore.

Sorry guys, look like you all need some tidy up yourself, perhapas go to gyms or whatsoever. Pleaselah, so next gathering we can see new sides of you guys !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Racheal Chow, congratulated on your newly wed and pregnancy, mixed blood/races baby always so cute and beautiful, can't waitlah.

Christmas 2007

I love to work on christmas and boxing day (26/12). Firstly, the hospital will organise the taxi to fetch you to work and home, such a luxury treat for once a year !! Therefore I don't have to take underground train for a change. But this year the taxi company gave a lot of reason that wanted to fetch me at 5.15am on christmas day, they must be joking, its only take 20 to 25 minutes by car to central London without any heavy traffic, and I strongly disagreed with them because if not I have to wake up at 4.45am, no way !!!!! After the small negotiation, we agreed to 5.30am at the end. For these two days I arrived the hospital at 6.00am and had to wait till 7.30am for the day shift to start, worst than normal working day. I were not the only one faced this problem, most of my collaegues also had same complaints, we are going to file a complaint against the taxi company, hope the hospital will not use them again.

Secondly, lot of foods for these two days. Every shift will have a theme for the staff to bring the food, i.e Italian theme, Universal theme, Asian theme..... Well, I just cooked curry chicken and rice for christmas day, and seafood udon for the boxing day, forget about the theme because we like to eat real food. For these two days we just eat, and eat all the times, and later on claimed for the need on diet after the festival, hi, hi,...........are you sure ?????

Thirdly, funs ! But have to depend who you work with on that shift, thank God most of the colleagues were nice to work with. We had slightly longer breaks to enjoy our foods. After the breakfast, we opened our first present (£20 out of £30 from the unit fund for 14 nursing staff and 2 medical staff to share), a special decorated photo frame for everyone who work on christmas day. This was a secret present, therefore all of us were so surprised to open our present. These presents were special made (Limited Edition) by one of the staff...........Guess who ????????????

More to come, on that day all the colleagues brought in three items for Hampers lucky draws which was told in advance. We made 6 nice hampers and two bottles of wine (£10 from the unit fund) for lucky draws. Of course I was lucky on that day, I had one small hamper as well.

In Year 2007, I enjoyed my christmas day out and worked on Christmas and Boxing days, who say Christmas day in the unit were sad, because we didn't have place to go or celebrate ???? We had lot of fun and food to eat, and and free transportation as well.....................

Christmas Day Out 2007

Ho ! Ho ! Ho ! Merry Christmas Everyone............

At last I can start to write my blog again.... been so long (at least a month) we didn't have a computer to access the internet in our household, thing will start to change after I bought myself a SONY laptop for christmas present, ha ! ha ! treating myself not too bad.....

This year we did not have Christmas Party in our unit (ICU) due to .................reasons ????? But at least we had a lovely Christmas day out for ice skating in Natural History Museum. It was a great day out, we all enjoyed the skating, photos taken in ice rink or BA big bubble, hot chips (sponsor by Ines who wearing the red long coat) and hot hot pure chocolate drink.

I was the organiser for this event, from requested the day off for my favour collaegues, to book and buy ticket online, and also prayed for the good weather for that day, actually it was hard work than ICU skills !!!!!!!

We were so, so....lucky, we had a nice, bright cosy cold sunny day ( you just could not believe it, especially the weather was so horrible the week before, windy and wet cold winter weather, thank God for the nice day).

I am a beginner for the ice skating, fell on the ice twice (who care !!!! ) and was not able to get on my feet after the fell, don't you worry there always some young guys to give you a hand.

Just can't wait for the next year ice skating day out again, is it the same with you as well ???
