Vicky and I

In Year 2008, Vicky and I were lucky to travel together to Hong Kong and Singapore to conduct a study regarding how these two countries dealing with SARS outbeak in 2003. We were the successful candidates to approved by the nurse travel scholarship which was funded by one of the Royal family in UK for our unit. To be honest, we were the only pair apply this scholarship....................he, he, he....

At first I was a bit concerned to travel with Vicky who is a senior sister in the unit, and I was not her team member, plus she is so English and I am so Chinesey............BUT....we were really had a great time together either visiting the hospitals or sightseeing in Hong Kong and Singapore...For sure, I introduced Vicky to taste the real Chinese food and went to Chinese restaurant where no White people will go, unless they knew Chinese...................

A week before we due to travel, I was admitted to hospital for investigation due to abdominal pain and history of vomiting. At the Ultrasound result came out I had inflammed appendix, and need to be removed instantly. Oh ! my god, it was not the right time to have any kind of surgery, I was going away in a week time...................I had no choice to have a operation to remove my appendix, and lucky was recovered steadily. For Vicky, she was so worrried that we might had to postphone the trip or she will go by herself or she will go with other colleague, consider we had put all the hard work together to make this trip happen ........................

Thank God, I was granted to travel in a week time, and we were really enjoyed our study and travel in Far East.................
